From Pressure to Precision: What This Season Is Teaching Me

Over the past several weeks, I’ve found myself reflecting on our first ForHer Gathering of the year and what that room represented.

Women navigating a lot.

Motherhood.
Wifehood.
Leadership.
Marketplace impact.
Calling.

Many of us are carrying multiple roles — and carrying them well.

There is joy in that.
There is purpose in that.
But there is also weight.

The Reality of “All the Things”

Trying to do all the things can feel like a constant balancing act.

And if we’re honest, the scales don’t always look even.

Some days, one role requires more of you than the others.
Some seasons stretch you in ways you didn’t anticipate.

And I’ve been reminded that this doesn’t mean you’re doing something wrong.

It means you’re human.

Balance isn’t about everything being equal at all times.
It’s about being aligned with what you are called to steward in this season.

What Are You Called to Carry?

One of the questions that keeps coming up for me is this:

What has God actually called me to in this season?

Not everything.
Not what everyone else is doing.
Not what looks good on paper.

But what is mine to carry.

Because obedience to your calling requires clarity.

And sometimes clarity requires you to release what was never yours to hold.

From Pressure to Precision

At our Charlotte gathering, one of the most impactful takeaways—shared by Eboni of Powerhouse Coaching and Consulting—was the shift from pressure to precision.

Pressure says:
Do more. Be more. Carry more.

Precision says:
Be intentional.
Be aligned.
Be clear.

It invites you to focus on what truly matters instead of trying to prove something through how much you can hold.

And that shift changes everything.

Redefining What Winning Looks Like

I’ve also learned that winning doesn’t always look like doing everything on your own.

Sometimes, winning looks like:

  • Reaching out for support

  • Saying no when needed

  • Taking the next step without having it all figured out

  • Moving forward even when it feels uncomfortable

In this season, I’m choosing to believe this truth:

“He who began a good work in you will carry it to completion until the day of Jesus Christ.” — Philippians 1:6

You are built for what you’ve been called to.
You are equipped for the roles you carry.
And you will win.

But you don’t have to do it alone.
