A Thanksgiving Reflection: Centering Ourselves for What’s Next
As the year begins to wind down, this season always brings me back to the things that anchor me —
the remembrance of Grandma’s signature dishes, time spent with the ones I love, and the quiet gratitude for the woman I’ve grown into… along with the hope and expectancy for the woman I am still becoming.
Recently, I saw Dr. Faith Wokoma share five things she’s intentionally making more time for in 2026, and it stirred something in me. It felt like an invitation — to pause, to breathe, and to center myself again in my own story.
So, I decided to follow suit.
My 5 Intentions for 2026
1. Morning stretching
Honoring my body with intention, grounding my spirit, and creating space before the world starts asking things of me.
2. Box breathing
Because calm isn’t accidental — it’s cultivated.
3. Pausing more throughout my day
Choosing presence over urgency.
4. More time with my girls
Coffee gatherings and brunch dates that fill my cup and remind me of the beauty of sisterhood.
5. Solo store trips
Every mama knows… this is self-care. This is peace. This matters. 🙂
A Question for You: What Are You Centering in 2026?
As life gives you permission to slow down this season, I’d love for you to reflect with me:
✨ What are you intentionally making room for in 2026?
✨ Is there a dream inside you that’s ready to be shared with a sister who can help propel it forward?
✨ Are you preparing to walk fully in the calling God has placed on your life — for your family, your community, or for the woman you are becoming?
✨ How are you planning to show up for yourself in a way that makes the little girl in you proud?
Your voice matters here. Your intention matters. Your becoming matters.

If you feel led, I’d love for you to share your reflections with the ForHer Collective. Not for comparison, not for performance — but for connection.
Because we grow deeper when we grow together.
Wishing you a Thanksgiving season full of rest, warmth, reflection, and gentle becoming.
